Looking for some help starting working from home

basically this is my situation. I live in Pittsburgh Just recently found out my wife is pregnant, but she has Lyme Disease which tends to flair up after pregnancy and get significantly worse.

I am trying to find a work from home job that will allow me to help with my wife and baby if it comes to that.

My work history for the last couple of years has been spotty. Been having trouble holding down a job long term. Not necessarily because of anything I've done, just bad circumstances.

I need to make between 1700 and 2000 a month (1600 is dead minimum)

Searching for a Work From Home Job

Hi All,

I hope this is the right place to post, if not, just let me know and I can delete. I currently work from home but I'm actually asking this for my friend and neighbor.

She has worked from home before but is currently at an office job. She would like to go back to working from home, but is unsure where to look for jobs.

In her own words, her experience is "15 years working with technicians, scheduling and dispatch, and order management." I'm in marketing so I have no clue which direction to even point her in. Any help or pointers is appreciated. Thanks!

I work remotely from the US and I am thinking of moving out of country for or a year. Any suggestions on a good place to start looking?

I currently live in the US and have been working remotely from home for a years. I have always enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places. I am single with no kids. I don't have anything tying me down to my current location other than I grew up here. Of course my family and friends are important to me here but I have lived across the country over the years and being in a new place has never bothered me.

I am looking for a few suggestions on a few places outside the US that are cool and not typical for an Expat. It doesn't have to be cheap but reasonably priced with good internet service and way to get around town. Any ideas on a few good places to start looking? I would like to move in the spring of 2017.

Will I hate working from home?

Please don't hate me for complaining about a work from home job, but....

I've been out of work since July after leaving my nanny job. My only potential job is a work from home job, which I was only considered for cause I know the business owner. At first I loved the idea of working from home, but the more I think about it the more I worry that it won't be a good fit

These are my worries

I get distracted too easily. I worry about being tempted to do housework, waste time on the Internet, or play with my pets. What if I can't stay focused?

I'll have no work/life balance as the two will be too intertwined. What if home stops feeling like a relaxing place cause I associate it with work and stress?

My husband and I will be spending too much time together. We live in a small one bedroom apt. We used to work opposite shifts during the day which gave us each alone time in the apartment. But if I work from home I can see him being aggravated as he'll never have time to himself

I left my nanny job for several reasons, one of which was feelings of isolation due to lack of adult interaction. As a nanny 90% of my daily communication was spent talking about pokemon, shopkins, and poop. I was looking forward to working in an office again and forming adult connections and friendships. I've missed having conversations with peers, going to lunch together, getting drinks after work. This job will not allow for much socialization, just work related communication.

If they offer me the job I'll have to accept cause I need the money, but how can I overcome these issues?

[Updated Repost] Take part in a Complex website earning up to £300 per Month watching videos, completing mindless 10 minute surveys and tasks online [PayPal/bitcoin/giftcards] [International]

I've been doing daily boring things to earn cash for a tasks/survey website that is sometimes afk-able and takes 0 effort.
It's a relatively simple process of watching reading and clicking. What i like is that the surveys are very short and they payout gets quite deccent once you are on a spree! Some of the surveys and tasks that pay out extreme amamounts are usually extremely sophisticated, and it will need clever thinking to fool. spend 20 ~ 30 minutes on it everyday or multi task it when i play games like hearthstone. It's seemingly easy and one of the faster ways of getting paid for doing mindless things online. Link: http://ift.tt/2e2vN2A

After one week of Swagbucks, I've earned $60 in Amazon gift cards! It's mostly passive, too - surveys, watching videos, running the app. Great if you're just looking for some spending money.

Here's some proof!

I started on 10/07, and just cashed out for my third Amazon GC today. One for $50, and two for $5. The second one for $5 I was able to earn just today. The major way I've earned SB is through passive videos, on my phone app and running in another tab.

Please ask me any questions you have, and please use my referral link: http://ift.tt/2e1yUWj

Advice on how to get started working from home

My wife doesn't work she is about to have our first child.

Right now I work at a car dealership (which I hate doing) my commute is about 40 minutes one way. and I work about 50 hrs/week

I worked out our budget it comes to about 1600 a month, though a significant portion of that is my driving (a little over 100 a month in gas alone)

I'd love to find a way to work from home to spend more time with my wife and kid and still make enough money to cover our small budget, Ideally I'd love to make like 2k a month.

What's been really helpful in setting up your home office for FT work?

I've been FT remote for a little bit now, and have the basic gadgets I need to work (laptop, desk, chair, etc.) but I think I'll be doing the FT remote thing for at least another few years and want to invest in tools that may prove useful, but I'm not sure what I might need yet. Improved lighting? Better headphones? Just looking for ideas.

Anyone move from working remote to a new job in an office?

I got a job offer for a great company that doesn't allow telecommuting. Luckily they are casual so I don't need to wear a suite, but they do work in cubicles. Both jobs are great however the new job is more exciting and in a better industry, real estate to fashion.

My commute would be a 30-40 minute subway/bike ride. I would wake up at 7:00am and get home around 7:30pm. I am afraid that this will burn me out over time, that and office politics.

Anyone else make a similar move? How did it go?
