Can't take this anymore

I hate my job!!!!!! I want to start working from home. I'm way more motivated when I do the few work from home sites (i.e. swagbucks, inboxdollars) than I am at my main job. I know I probably can't quit completely, but I'd like to reduce my hours. I make crap money, so it's not like I'd need to make a million dollars. I'd like to make an extra $100 a week and then I could reduce my hours to 3 days a week at my crap main job.

Please, please any advice you have to get started working from home I'd love it. I'm not really into selling make up or candles or anything.

Your Work From Home Schedule

I am just wondering if anyone would share their work from home schedule or timeframe? I am finding it very hard to schedule myself. I've been on a schedule for 15 years. For example I find myself working on Holidays and Weekends. I woke up at 3 am and started checking e-mails, replying to request, inputting orders.

Did anyone find it hard setting and sticking to a schedule? Just some feedback.

advice on where to start looking for at home data entry jobs

I'll be needing a work at home job soon. My wife has chronic Lyme disease and is pregnant, I'll need to be close to home to help take care our baby.

Our budget is small, we only need to make between 17-2000 a month.

I have some experience with Remote Data entry I did it for a company in Florida for about 6 months before we moved to far to do it (it required going into the office occasionally.)

I'm looking for something in the Pittsburgh area, I live about 45 minutes north eat of the city, but I don't know where to start.

Right now I am doing car sales, but it's about 55 hours a week. I have lots of customer service experience and some medical experience.

Living With Significant Other While WFH

I work as a music producer mostly from my home studio which is a converted bedroom in my (small) house. My girlfriend whom I live with is understanding of my sometimes crazy and unpredictable schedule. While I love living with her, sometimes I think back to when I lived alone, I could guilt-free drop what I was doing one evening, go into the studio and put in a few hours of work. Now with a girlfriend living with me, it's very easy to just relax with her and a movie. Does anyone have any tips for balancing life with a significant other and a crazy freelancer's schedule?

List of subreddits for remote jobs and resources (X-Post from /r/skipthedrive)

  • /r/digitalnomad/ – Digital nomads are those that travel the globe and work from anywhere they choose. They make be working in Thailand one month, then New York the next month. This subreddit has a lot of useful information for topics such as cost of living, travel strategy, motivation, wifi hotspots & more.

  • /r/WorkOnline/ – WorkOnline, as its name implies, is a place where people gather to talk about ways to make money online. This can range from taking paid surveys to monetizing with Amazon mTurk, website revenue and more. Basically anything that allows people to make minimum wage or more is fair game. I’m also one of the moderators for /r/WorkOnline/.

  • /r/workathomejobs/ – There’s not much information about this subreddit on their sidebar, but it seems pretty straightforward. As I was looking through some of the recent posts, there were many articles posted as well as advice from other entrepreneurs.

  • /r/WorkingRemotely/ – WorkingRemotely isn’t really for job listings, rather, a place to chat about the remote lifestyle. This can be in the form of questions, how people avoid seclusion, some cool places people have worked from, productivity hacks, etc.

  • /r/remotejs/ – This is for JavaScript jobs that can be done via telecommuting (whether partial or full telecommute).

  • /r/remotephp/ – remotephp is for PHP jobs that can be done remotely (whether partial or full telecommute).

  • /r/SkipTheDrive/ – You guessed it! This is the subreddit I created, which is for anything telecommuting-related. I’ll post cool job listings and articles here.

  • /r/remotepython/ –remotepython is for Python jobs that can be done via telecommuting (partial or full telecommute).

  • /r/RemoteJobr/ – There’s not much of a description for this subreddit in their sidebar. It seems to be tech jobs only.

  • /r/WFH/ – WFH is an acronym for working from home. According to the moderators of that subreddit, their goal is to foster a community for those to discuss tips and tricks on working from home.

  • /r/jobsRemotely/ – This is a smaller community, but you might get lucky and find something here.

  • /r/MakeMoneyFromHome/ – Discuss different strategies on how to make money from home. This can be anything from survey sites to Google Adsense, affiliate programs and more.

  • /r/workfromhomecoders/ – A very small subreddit, workfromhomecoders is for people who face certain work-from-home challenges (i.e. lack of human interaction). It’s encouraged for people to share resources/experiences.

  • /r/freelance/ – Last, but certainly not least is the freelance subreddit. This sizable community discusses pretty much anything related to freelancing.

  • /r/workathome – People post home-based opportunities here.

You can work a little and make a little or work it full time and end up making a full time income, It's free and easy.

Hello everyone,

I started this journey in 2008 and at that time my goal was to make a little extra money , some may call it beer money but for me it was diaper money.

I joined many sites known as GPT,PTC ,Rewards Sites and Survey Sites. They are all pretty similar, basically you complete a task and if it all went well it pays you some points that you can exchange for cash or gift card. When I started I would make $5 or $10 or if I really tried hard all day I could hit $20 on a good day.. But I noticed there were a few members, very few members who never did any offers or surveys but would cash out $30,$40 even over $50 every single day.

i decided I need to do what they are doing and what they were doing is getting referrals. There is no limit to what you can make with referrals, and getting referrals is so much easier than selling something or doing offers and surveys all day.

Step 1 Join the right sites, it is very important to not waste time on bad sites that your referrals won't use. Believe me I have joined hundreds of these sites and they are not created equal. You can find all the sites I currently refer people to on this blog Top50GPT.com

Step 2 - Get familiar with the sites you are gonna promote, you gotta use them yourself before you can expect to persuade others to use them.

Step 3 - Time to get promoting , first thing is to forget about your friends and family, you will never get enough good referrals if you focus on them. What you want to do is get your information and ref link in front of people who are looking for a site like this to join, people looking to make some diaper money or Christmas money or just a little extra money in their spare time. Here are promotional methods that work for me.

Blogging - This is my #1 way to get refs, build the blog or blogs around a central theme, so that they show up in search results when people search for that term.

Facebook Groups - Remember to not worry about posting to your wall, to your friends about this, they probably already got jobs or hobbies. You want to reach people who are looking for this, thats why you need to post to Facebook Groups, there is an endless amount of groups on related topics that will reach the right people, here are some examples of groups to search for and join, work at home moms and dads, make money online, get stuff free, entrepreneurs, deals, work for students.

Forums and Reddit - It's the same principle for this as it is for groups, target forums about those things and sub reddits about those topics. Remember to always know and follow the rules of these sites.

Youtube - You can make videos about how to make money online, work from home, work for students etc.. Just be sure to not make the video title to general, that goes with everything you do, try to pick a specific niche each time, if it's too general it has too much competition.

There ya go, thats enough info to get going with this and be years ahead of me when I started.. i hope this information helps you, if you would like to help me you can join sites from my blog, not all of them have 2nd level referral earnings but some do , so it might help me if you join the sites from my blog located here Top50GPT.com Thank You

My boss is leaving on vacation mid December and will be gone for 2 weeks. How do I go about asking for remote work during that time?

My work is highly analytical and independent. I attend no meetings and she's the only one to whom I report. We also do most of our exchanges via email. So I really see no reason to be in the office when she's not there – and eventually I want to transition so I don't have to be in the office at all. I think that if I do good work while she's away it might help with that. How should I approach this over the next month?

We were not born just to pay bills and die!

Are you tired of being trapped in your day job?

Maybe you are worried that your job could be swept away at any moment

I'm sure you would like to have more time to spend with your family and friends - doing the things you love the most

The ONLY way to accomplish these goals is to take charge and create your own business...

However, there's problems with that...

*How do you make the time? *How do you afford it? *What type of business do you start? *How do you manage the risks

These are all extremely valid concerns that pretty much everyone has...

Fortunately for you, we live in an unprecedented time...

Now - more than ever - it's easier to create a business with VERY little time and money!

How?

By leveraging the power of Easy1IP

Hi, my name is Hamson Mendez and i'm on my way to build a multi 7-figure business with the Easy1ip platform

Here is the cool part: More than 1000 people have copied our system to build their own business

here is the even cooler part: We have been able to replace our day job income within 30 days!

and getting this done on a shoestring budget...

Imagine that...

You could have the freedom you're looking for in life in just the next month.

WITHOUT: -Spending a bunch of time

How awesome would that be huh?

If that is something you're interested in learning about, here's the good news.

Do you find you don't often get out much because you work from home?

I'm a long-time remote worker on my third year of working exclusively from home. It's great, but sometimes I'll realize three days have passed and I didn't go out at all. I have a gym-level elliptical my apartment and I do often grocery shop, but I also get services like Hello Fresh delivered. So some days, there's really no reason or need for me to go out. I don't mind it really, but I wonder if I should care?

Do you find this happens to you? Do you make a point go out every day?

Making a remote job work for you

22f, live with my parents, one of ~those~ millennials. Currently work a remote part-time job and find it hard to stay motivated. Feel like my family does not take my work seriously because I can technically (although I don't often) do it on the couch in my pajamas. Often am made to feel guilty that I am choosing work over helping with cooking, cleaning and home renovation projects. Sometimes work falls by the wayside because I am consumed with things at home. Because my job is part time I feel like it's not as "legit" as anything full time. Any advice on coping with this and setting better work-life boundaries?

IT Remote NOC Positions

Dear Reader,

I have been in the IT industy for 10 years now and I am wanting to become loaction independent. I currently have worked for some Fortune 500 companies in Seattle and Orlando, and I am wondering if there are any good resources or companies that would allow me to continue on my career path remotely.

Network Operations and Security is my main focus. I am training myself to become certified for Security+ and CNNA, and a little further down the road CISSP. The reason why I am doing this is because I have hit a ceiling in my career. I only hold a vocational degree and that seems to not hold any weight anymore. I have also been trained through the US Army in the PATRIOT missile program, specializing in SATCOM and Telecommunications.

Working remotely is my focus now because my mother has become very ill and where she lives the IT industry is not existant.

If anyone has any good advice or resources, please feel free to PM. Also, thank you for taking the time to read this, it is much appreciated.

Regards, IovFyre

PS I have checked all the job boards such as weworkremotely, workatho.me, flexjobs, and all the sub reddits for Digital Nomads, entrepreneurs and work online.

Medical Coding - A Real Career From Home

I recommend "Medical Coding and Billing" as a wonderful work from home option. Yes, you will need training. You can't just code medical records without having proper training. However, this is a real and promising career. I used to work for "Career Step" and they have an awesome Medical Coding and Billing course.

http://ift.tt/1QNXhDs

Their training is done online and is self-paced. You could finish the program in 4 months but 6 months is probably more realistic. They do however give you up to a year to get it all done. Their program is approved by the American Health Information Management Association and the American Academy of Professional Coders. They work specifically with a company called IOD inc. that hires their grads to work from home right out of the program.

The average salary for this career is about $40,000. Their entire program including books, instructors and job assistance is around $3,000 and they offer sweet payment plans.

If you want more info or have questions let me know @ katherine.b.ashby@gmail.com
