.Net framework experience and part time remote work prospects?

Hey Internet!

I come from a physical science background, with extensive knowledge of C++ and python for data analysis.

I recently had to leave my PhD since I could not manage full time work and looking after an ill family member. I feel better for it already but now have to think about how I fund myself.

Luckily, I have some experience with the .NET framework which appears to have some remote part time work available. I have never applied for anything like this and wondering if anyone has any tips? Also what experience have you had in this area if possible?
